Урок англійської мови у 6 класі

`School Life'

Вчитель: Савчук Анна Вікторівна

ЦІЛІ УРОКУ:

Практична:

· активізувати вивчений лексичний матеріал з теми «Шкільне життя»;

· продовжувати удосконалювати техніку читання;

· тренувати учнів в аудіюванні.

Розвиваюча:

· розвивати мовну здогадку, увагу, пам'ять, логічне мислення та мовленнєву реакцію учнів;

· розвивати вміння діалогічного та монологічного мовлення;

· розвивати навички роботи в групах.

Освітня:

· розширити лінгвістичний кругозір учнів;

· підвищувати пізнавальну активність завдяки застосуванню методів проектних технологій.

Виховна:

· виховувати інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови;

· виховувати позитивне ставлення до навчання.

Тип уроку: застосування знань та формування вмінь.

Обладнання: підручник, робочий зошит, роздатковий матеріал, мультимедійна презентація. лексичний англійський мова читання учень

ХІД УРОКУ

І. Introduction

1. Greeting and aim. Привітання й повідомлення теми та мети уроку

T: Good morning, boys and girls. I am very glad to see you. How are you?

You know, after the home, the school is the place where pupils spend a lot of time. School is not a place of education, it is a place, where pupils develop their personal skills.

Today we'll continue to speak about one of the best period of person's life namely `School Life'. This topic is well-known for you not only one lesson, therefore today we have the lesson of checking our knowledge. We'll spend it in a curious way of competition.

2. Warming up. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу

T: But before start our competition, please, answer the questions.

1) Do you like to go to school?

2) Do you like to do homework?

3) What is your favourite subject?

4) Who is your form teacher?

5) What subject does your form teacher teach?

6) How many lessons do you have every day?

7) What proverbs and sayings do you know about school?

P1: Knowledge is power. (Знання - це сила.)

P2: Live and learn. (Вік живи, вік учись.)

P3: It is never too late to learn. (Вчитися ніколи не пізно.)

P4: Learning is the eye of the mind. (Ученье - свет, а неученье - тьма.)

II. Main Part

T: Very good. So we are going to travel to Knowledgeland by train. It has got two carriages. They are the teams. And you are the passengers. We have … stations. Every station gives you the possibility to demonstrate your knowledge and become the winners.

T: I wish all of you good luck and success of the station.

Attention, please!

The train is leaving!

Station 1. Greeting

T: Tell about your teams. (В «білетах» написані заготовки, капітани представляють свої команди за допомогою їх)

Captain 1. Hello! I am glad to see you. My name is … . I am the captain of the team `Champions'. Our motto is `Learning is the eye of the mind'. (Ученье - свет, а неученье - тьма.)

Captain 2. Hello! I am glad to see you. My name is … . I am the captain of the team `Leaders'. Our motto is `It is never too late to learn'. (Вчитися ніколи не пізно.)

Station 2. Agree or Disagree

T: The next station is `Agree or Disagree'. Let's play a game. Look at the table. There are several cards with the sentences. Your task is to read the sentence and say if it is true or false. If the sentence is true you'll say `I agree' but if it is false you'll say `I disagree' and correct the mistake. Let's start. (Вчитель розкладає набір карток текстом донизу, учні з кожної команди (по черзі) виходять до дошки, беруть по одній картці та читають речення. Якщо речення містить правильну інформацію, учень погоджується з ним, якщо в реченні інформація хибна, він/вона має виправити помилку. За кожну правильну відповідь надається 1 «білетик»)

Station 3. School Subject.

T: Let's go to the next station. I'll give you cards with the names of the lessons and their definitions. You have to match the parts of the sentences. The winner is the team which will do it quicker.

a) pupils run, jump, play football and other games;

Station 4. Listening

T: The next station is `Listening'. Listen to the text `Why do they have to know English?' You have to match the pictures with their definitions.

Why do they have to know English?

1) Good morning. My name is Pavlo and I am a businessman. I have business partners in different countries and we discuss our problems with the help of English. I have to know this language because I often read and write very important business documents.

2) Hello, my name is Natalia. I am an air hostess and I fly to many different countries. Our passengers are from different countries too, but they understand English well. I have to know English because I must understand their questions and answer them. The knowledge of English helps me to make my passengers feel comfortable on the plane.

3) Hi, I am Borys and I am a writer. I write books about History and the life of people in the past. But before I write a new book I have to study many historical facts and read a lot of literature. Many books are in English and I have to understand them. That's why I must know English to find interesting facts and to write good books.

4) My name is Olena. I'm a teacher of Science and I work at University. There are a lot of students from other countries who study here. I have to know English to teach foreign students because they all understand this language and speak it well.

T: A good captain is the flag of the team. Let's begin the competition. Dear captains, this task is for your logic and it is not concerned the topic `School Life'. You have to find the animals hiding in the following sentences! Please, be attentive! You have 2 minutes.

Station 9. Final

T: Our trip is coming to the end. I think it's just time to make conclusion of the lesson. Today we have a very interesting trip. You were active and clever passengers.

So let's count your tickets.

I'm happy to announce the results of our competition.

Team `Champions' has got : … points

Team `Leaders' has got: … points

T: The team with the highest score is the winner.

Congratulations for everybody.

T: And now it's time to write down your homework for the next lesson. You have to do Ex. 2 p. 30 in your workbooks.
