Диссертация является теоретико-экспериментальным исследованием проблемы формирования умений профессионального иноязычного общения будущих офицеров. Теоретически обоснованы педагогические условия формирования умений иноязычного профессионального общения будущих офицеров в высшем военном учебном заведении (обеспечение положительной мотивации курсантов, направленной на формирование осознания ими значимости овладения умениями иноязычного общения и профессионально-познавательного интереса; организация диалогического взаимодействия субъектов учебного процесса по обмену информацией профессионального характера путем применения интерактивных форм и методов иноязычного обучения), экспериментально доказана их эффективность. Получили дальнейшее развитие теоретические положения относительно формирования вербальной техники и умений иноязычного профессионального общения будущих офицеров.

The dissertation is a theoretical and practical research of the problem of forming prospective officers' skills of foreign language professional speaking in higher military educational institutions.

The essence of definitions “professional communication in a foreign language” and “prospective officers` skills of professional communication in a foreign language” is analyzed in the dissertation. The pedagogical conditions of forming skills of professional communication in a foreign language are substantiated.

The aim and peculiarities of prospective officer's professional training in the modern higher military educational institutions are revealed. The study of the legislative basis of the modern education of military men, the analysis of scientific works devoted to the problems of military professional training of specialists in the process of their study in higher military educational institutions (O. Barabanschikov, O. Evsyukov, T. Isaenko, I. Kravchenko, O. Kernitskiy, O. Marchenko, Y. Podolyak, Y. Chuev, V. Yagupov and others) have led to the conclusion that its strategic aim is forming creative personality of an officer with high culture of work and communication. It has been revealed that the peculiarities of professional training of prospective officers are stipulated for subordination of purposes and tasks of military service: social order of society, extreme conditions of carrying out professional duties, collective character of military service and direct co-operation of military men in the process of activity and communication.

The result of professional training is considered as a readiness for professional activity which is defined as a special personality condition that foresees that prospective officer has a motivated value attitude to professional activity and has mastered knowledge, ways for achievement of aims of professional activity, has developed personal qualities for effective realization of professional activity.

The term “professional communication” is a system of communicative standards, skills and methods which is realized in the process of specialists' intercourse. Professional intercourse is a factor which accompanies specialist's professional activity. Language of professional intercourse is understood as a linguistically organized system of speech which is used by the representatives of a certain sphere in the situations which are connected directly with specific professional aspects of their activity.

In the dissertation the main functions of professional communication are revealed: informative (exchange, transference, and reception of information in the message forms of opinions, views, decisions of the participants of communication; acquisition of individual social and professional experience in the process of communication); organizational (mastering standards of social model behavior, mutual orientation and coordination of actions during organization of co-activity; expressive (clarification of interaction contents, mutual cognition and mutual understanding of the partners, changes in the behaviour, partner's speech peculiarities, his intentions, directives, actions, influence on the audience, creation of psychological background of interaction through emotional feelings and conditions).

Professional communication in a foreign language provides for forming skills of foreign language professional communication (communicative, speaking skills, aural skills, reading skills, writing skills) - skills of getting relevant information in foreign language on professional issues with its further use for professional self-improvement, to express opinion competently in the process of verbal and nonverbal interaction with other individuals in the process of professional activity.

The conclusion has been made that it is expedient to use interactive (able to co act, dialogue) training for forming skills of professional communication in a foreign language of prospective officers, as such training sets the pattern of constant, active intercourse of all its participants. It turns into co-education and mutual education (collective, group, study in collaboration) which allow a teacher and student (cadet) to be equal participants in the teaching process. Organization of interactive training foresees modelling situations of professional activity, use of role playing activity, joint discussion and solution of problems on the basis of analysis of circumstances and corresponding situations.

It has been proved that use of interactive training in learning foreign languages allows cadets to achieve mutual understanding, allows them to become participants with equal rights in the professional dialogue, to express their opinion with the help of language means. The use of interactive methods and forms has proved to facilitate verbal and nonverbal technique forming. This technique plays an important role in forming skills of professional communication in a foreign language, as the development of communicative components of speech (correctness, purity, richness, exactness, variety of vocabulary, imagination, distinctiveness, briefness) allows learners to transfer definite meanings in coherent and logical form, promotes forming communicative and expressive skills.
