The animal-machine concept in Descartes and Berkeley. The attempt at comparison
Reconstructs and compares two philosophical concepts of animal developed by Rene Descartes and George Berkeley. Characteristic of the Berkeleyan immaterialist metaphysics which can be reconciled with attributing certain degree of rationality to brutes.
