Ultimately, our study may shed light on the ways the students can be motivated to enhance their spoken discourse competence when accurately designed activities based on TED Talks and TBLT framework are implemented. Due to the fact that our study was limited in time as well as in scope, we find the elaborated procedure worth to test for the further studies so as to have an opportunity to continue the design of activities useful for the development of students' spoken discourse competence that embraces apart from the two types of monologues presented in the current study, other forms of monologues, dialogues and polylogues.
