Dissertation for the obtaining of the science degree of the Bachelor of pedagogic sciences after the spciality 13. 00. 07 - the theory and methods of education. The Institute of the problems of education APS of Ukraine, Kyiv 2001.

This dissertation is dedicated to the study of the actual problem of the humanization of upbringing and education of senior class pupils in general -education schools.

The essence and the contents of the concepts “humanism”, “educational and upbringing process humanization”, “on-personality” directed educational surrounding” are examined by analysis of the works of the native and foreign scientists; organizational and pedagogic conditions of the effectiveness of the humanization of education of senior class pupils are proved through experiments.

The dissertation work includes determined theoretical approach to the humanization of the educational process in general-education school, the experimentally checked criteria and the levels of formation of humane educational surrounding in the general-education private school.

The theoretical approach, the contents, the forms and the methodics of the humanization of the educational process in the general-education private school have given ground for creation of the “on-personality directed” educational surrounding, which found its recognition as the test results show.

The results can be used by pedagogic groups of general-education schools, gymnasiums, lyceums and other pedagogic establishments.

The key words are: “humanization”, “educational process humanization”, “on-personality” directed educational syrrounding”, “senior class pupil”, “subject-to-subject cooperation”, “humane treatment of person”.
