NEW PARADIGM OF FEMALE PROSE WRITINGS IN UKRAINIAN AND JAPANESE LITERATURES OF THE LATE XIX EARLY XX CENTURIES.
The article deals with a new paradigm of female prose in Ukrainian and Japanese literatures. The analysis of the works of the late XIX early XX centuries has shown that at the turn of the century, female writers of the above-mentioned literary works implemented new topics, characters and means of reality representation. They tended to explore new aspects of female discourse, its peculiarities, psychological conditioning, the fictional features of its heroines. The main focus of this article lies on pictorial and expressive means that reveal the talent of female writers. Based on the study of the peculiarities of prose writings of the representatives of Ukrainian and Japanese literatures, there was made a conclusion about the artistry of female writers in reproducing events, creating psychological portraits of heroines that fit into the new paradigm of the fin de siecle epoch. It can be argued that the driving force behind the development of the plot lines in the literary works of the above mentioned Ukrainian and Japanese female writers are the characters of new heroines. Female writers create unique artistic characters that reflect not only the specifics of the literature and culture of a particular nation, but also actualize the certain globalism tendencies. Women in the literary works of O. Kobylianska, Y. Yaroshynska, N. Kobrynska, Lesia Ukrainka, Higuchi Ichiyo, Akiko Yosano and others are the impersonation of femininity, since they are characterized by tenderness, sensuality, emotional vulnerability, and at the same time activeness and strong willingness. Synthesizing local and foreign tendencies, the female writers of both literatures emphasized the problem of the position of a woman in the society of those times, revealed various forms of protest against patriarchal traditions, showed the attempts to find the spheres for self-realization, recreated the ways to overcome stereotypes. The analysis of the literary works of Japanese and Ukrainian female writers testifies to the fact that the way the representatives of these literatures understood the need to update literature at both the formal and semantic levels, overlapped. The characters of women created by these female writers are a key factor in the formation of a new paradigm of female prose, because the description of the inner world of heroines, the representation of various moods and psychological states, the usage of such ways of expression as detailing, parallelism, inner monologue contributed to the renewal of literature and its integration into the stream of the world artistic processes at the turn of the century.
