"Just" transposition: semantic dynamics
English words like just-just, still-still, now-here, here-there and others (see Aijmer, 2002) look simple, but are often misunderstood by linguists. They have various labels: "particles", "fillers", "adverbs", "small words", "fillers", "modal particles".
