Мовні засоби вираження оцінки у повідомленнях мережі Facebook

Статтю присвячено мовним засобам вираження оцінки у повідомленнях соціальної мережі Facebook. Мета статті - виявити і дослідити найпоширеніші мовні засоби вираження оцінки та особливості їхнього функціонування в анотаціях книг, розміщених на персональній Facebook сторінці американської акторки Різ Візерспун.

Матеріалом дослідження слугували опубліковані у соціальній мережі Facebook повідомлення-анотації книг, дібрані методом суцільної вибірки з персональної сторінки Різ Візерспун. На своїй персональній Facebook сторінці Різ Візерспун щомісяця презентує нову книгу та анотує її зміст. Період вибірки мовного матеріалу охоплює 2018-2021 рр.

Виявлено, що повідомленням-анотаціям книг притаманна яскрава експресивна маркованість і позитивна спрямованість, які знаходять вираження у застосуванні одиниць з позитивним оцінним значенням.

Установлено, що у повідомленнях-анотаціях найпоширенішими лексичними засобами вираження оцінки є прикметники та прислівники, які як засоби експресивності додають повідомленню нового смислового відтінку.

Укладено список найуживаніших узуально-оцінних прикметників, які використовує Різ Візерспун у повідомленнях-анотаціях. З'ясовано, що серед прикметників позитивної оцінки у повідомленнях-анотаціях книжкових новинок найчастотнішим є прикметник beautiful.

Виявлено, що у повідомленнях-анотаціях прикметники з нейтральним або навіть негативним в оцінному плані значенням можуть набувати позитивно-оцінної конотації.

Установлено, що прикметники позитивної оцінки можуть модифікуватися прислівниками, що є додатковим засобом розширення значення прикметників. Прикметники та прислівники виступають інтенсифікаторами позитивної оцінки у повідомленнях-анотаціях, є засобом створення необхідної тональності повідомлення. Виявлено, що об'єктами позитивної оцінки в повідомленнях-анотаціях є сюжет, головні герої, стиль оповіді.

Підсумовано, що у повідомленнях-анотаціях книжкових новинок Різ Візерспун використовує лексичні засоби позитивної оцінної семантики з метою побудови цілісного повідомлення, спрямованого на привернення уваги аудиторії, створення доброзичливої атмосфери, переконання та стимулювання підписників до придбання книги і до читання.

Lexical means of evaluation in Facebook posts

Abstract

The paper explores how lexical means of evaluation can be deployed in Facebook posts of a celebrity. The purpose of the article is to identify the key lexical evaluative means of book summaries shared by an American actress Reese Witherspoon to present her monthly book club pick on Facebook.

Qualitative content analysis of Reese Witherspoon's Facebook posts has been carried out. The data were sourcedfrom her personal Facebook page between 2018-2021. The book summaries have been explored through functional analysis to investigate key lexical elements ofpositive evaluation from the viewpoint of their role in presenting new books.

In the course of research it was found that characteristic feature of book summaries is their increased emotional intensity, which manifests itself in the use of explicit evaluative markers, namely lexical units of evaluation.

The analyzed linguistic material demonstrated that adjectives and adverbs of positive evaluation are favoured lexical means that are employed to add to expressiveness of book summaries. Based on the results of the research the list of the most frequent adjectives ofpositive evaluation was established. It has been observed that adjective “beautiful” is most frequently used in book summaries.

It has been proved that in book summaries, neutral adjectives and adjectives of negative evaluation can be evaluated positively.

The empirical findings clearly illustrate that in book summaries adverbs ofpositive evaluation exhibit clear tendency to modify adjectives. Adjectives and adverbs of positive evaluation are means of persuasive strategy used to strengthen emotional emphasis, attract and guide followers' attention.

The study shows that in book summaries, adjectives and adverbs of positive evaluation qualify a plot, protagonists, and a writer's style.

The major findings of the research demonstrate that Reese Witherspoon employs lexical means ofpositive evaluation to enhance the quality of her book summaries, draw attention, appeal directly to every subscriber or follower, create a friendly mood in order to promote a new book and facilitate her followers ' reading.

Постановка проблеми та обґрунтування актуальності її розгляду

Незважаючи на численні дослідження інтернет-комунікації, вона продовжує привертати увагу науковців, оскільки її жанри, які поєднують риси традиційних жанрів з особливостями онлайн-середовища, зазнають постійних трансформацій.

Інтернет-дискурс соціальних мереж - особлива сфера міжособистісної комунікації, яка динамічно розвивається, оновлюється, що і зумовлює актуальність даної розвідки.

Аналіз останніх досліджень і публікацій

Попри те, що аналізу інтернет-комунікації присвячено чимало розвідок, актуальним залишається вивчення особливостей дискурсів чатів (Lee, 2011), мікроблогів (Schonfedt, Golato, 2003), повідомлень соціальних мереж (Крутько, 2020), комунікативних стратегій і тактик користувачів (McVittie et al., 2021), вербальної агресії у соціальних мережах (Dynel M., 2021), ідіостилю відомих особистостей (Ross A.S., Caldwell D., 2020).

Формулювання мети і завдань статті

Мета статті - виявити та проаналізувати мовні засоби вираження оцінки повідомлень-анотацій у Facebook - зумовлює виконання ряду завдань, а саме: виявити найпоширеніші мовні засоби вираження оцінки та особливості їхнього функціонування в анотаціях книг, розміщених на персональній сторінці Facebook.

Матеріалом дослідження слугували опубліковані у соціальній мережі Facebook повідомлення-анотації, дібрані методом суцільної вибірки з персональної сторінки акторки Різ Візерспун, кількість підписників якої наближається до 4 мільйонів. Період вибірки матеріалу охоплює 2018-2021 рр.

Виклад основного матеріалу дослідження

Відома американська акторка та продюсерка, Різ Візерспун, активно пропагує культуру читання, щомісяця розміщуючи анотації книжкових новинок або анонсуючи їх у відео на персональній Facebook сторінці.

Повідомлення-анотації органічно поєднують інформування та спонукання підписників до придбання і читання книжкових новинок. Інформація, закладена у повідомленнях-анотаціях, має персуазивний характер, оскільки реалізація комунікативної мети передбачає створення позитивного об'єкта повідомлення - нової книги: The book has my heart! The winter 2022 YA Reese S Book Club pick is #Anatomy by #DanaShwartz. Set in Scotland in the 1800s, this enchanting story follows an ambitious self-trained surgeon named Hazel who refuses to allow societal constraints keep her from pursuing her dreams in medicine. I think you'll really enjoy the secrets that begin to unravel, and spooky adventures riddled throughout this historical fiction (1).

Повідомленням-анотаціям книг притаманна яскрава експресивна маркованість і позитивна спрямованість, які знаходять вираження у застосуванні одиниць з позитивним оцінним значенням. Оцінне значення втілено у конкретні мовні структури, цілі шари лексики, призначені для вираження оцінки (Stotesbury H., 2003: 327).

Результати аналізу фактичного матеріалу засвідчують, що найуживанішими засобами реалізації категорії оцінки в повідомлен- нях-анотаціях є узуально-оцінні прикметники (evaluative adjectives), які не лише позначають якості, властивості предметів, як це роблять прикметники оцінки (axiological adjectives), але й дають судження про предмет оцінки (Herman T., Liberatore D., 2022: 156).

Список найуживаніших узуально-оцінних прикметників у повідомленнях-анотаціях включає:

Аналіз використання позитивно-оцінних лексичних засобів дозволив виявити, що найуживанішим прикметником повідомлень-анотацій є прикметник beautiful.

Оцінність лексичних одиниць може бути інгерентною та адгерентною (контекстуальною). Прикметники з нейтральним або навіть негативним в оцінному плані значенням можуть набувати позитивно-оцінної конотації у повідомленнях-анотаціях:

У повідомленнях-анотаціях прикметники негативного оцінного значення використовуються виключно для опису сюжетних перепетій: Holy Moly! ... you will NOT be able to put this book down! Аналіз фактичного матеріалу свідчить, що у повідомленнях-анотаціях прикметники з нейтральним або негативним в оцінному плані значенням значно поступаються у частоті вживання експліцитним способам вираження позитивної оцінки.

Інтенсивне використання прикметників з позитивною оцінною семою пояснюється їхньою здатністю створювати надлишкову експресивність повідомлень, що має на меті сформувати в аудиторії певне ставлення, викликати запрограмовану емоційну реакцію та переконати у необхідності придбання нової книги. Емоційно-оцінна виразність і стилістична образність повідомлень впливають на швидкість донесення інформації та ефективність комунікації.

Прикметники позитивної оцінки можуть модифікуватися прислівниками, що є додатковим засобом розширення значення прикметників: Perfectly creepy with hints of romance. I think you'll love this book just in time for Halloween! (1); The Paper Palace by #MirandaCowleyHeller is a deeply emotional love story... Як свідчать приклади, у повідомленнях-анота- ціях прислівники виступають інтенсифікаторами позитивної оцінки, є засобом створення необхідної тональності повідомлення, емфатичного виділення визначальної риси чи характерної особливості анонсованої книги.

Використання у повідомленнях-анотаціях прикметників та прислівників з позитивно-оцінним елементом дозволяє збагачувати контекст новими смисловими відтінками, посилювати аргументованість повідомлення, спрощуючи його декодування підписниками.

Висновки

Анотації новинок книжкового ринку на Facebook-сторінці Різ Візерспун є повідомленнями з емоційною домінантою, що робить обґрунтованим широке вживання лексики з позитивною конотативною ознакою у значенні. Позитивна оцінка новинок книжкового ринку експлікується за допомогою конвенційних оцінних лексичних засобів, прикметників та прислівників, які передають експресивну, афективну, емоційну оцінку. Слова негативної оцінки складають незначний відсоток вживань.

Органічно вмонтована та узгоджена з іншими засобами увиразнення лексика позитивної оцінної семантики сприяє досягненню максимальної позитивної модальності повідомлень-анотацій, що може стимулювати підписників до придбання нової книги і читання.

Перспективи подальших досліджень вбачаємо в детальному вивченні ідіостилю зіркових особистостей на матеріалі повідомлень у соціальних мережах.
