The role of the background knowledge in the speech genre of riddle decoding
The basic frames of the English and German riddles based on the concept RIVER/FLUSS are considered, the knowledge as the means of decoding of the concept. The basic frames in terms of speech genre of riddle in Germanic languages has been studied.
