The thesis is dedicated to solving the problem of increasing efficiency of teaching oral Japanese monological statements to the elementary level students of language departments of higher educational establishments. The work analyzes the current state of teaching oral Japanese statements in higher educational establishments on the elementary level. The general psychological and psycholinguistic characteristics of foreign oral monological statements as well as the linguistic peculiarities of monologue-description and monologue-narration in Japanese have been introduced. The appropriateness of using the principle of comparing the Japanese and Ukrainian languages in order to form oral monological statements skills on the elementary level has been substantiated.
The work theoretically substantiates the methods of teaching oral Japanese monological statements to elementary level students of language departments of higher educational establishments, develops a subsystem of exercises for teaching oral Japanese statements within the boundaries of monologue-description and monologue-narration, using visual aids videophonogrammes and phonogrammes. This subsystem of exercises consists of 2 groups: for teaching monologue-description and monologue-narration, which are in turn subdivided into subgroups and blocks.
The efficiency of the developed methods has been checked and confirmed during the course of experimental training. The methodical recommendations for optimal organization of the process of teaching oral Japanese monological statements to elementary level students of language departments in higher educational establishments have been developed and successfully implemented.
