Дитячі енциклопедії: різновиди підходів і змістового наповнення наративу про Другу світову війну

Якщо підсумовувати: Друга світова війна в даній енциклопедії розглядалася як тло, на фоні якого дві тоталітарні держави (нацистська Німеччина і Радянський Союз) вчинили масштабні злочинні дії щодо жителів України.

Загалом окремі питання дотичні до теми Другої світової війни на теренах України представлені у 15% гасел. Основна увага всіх сюжетів: із вигнанням нацистів не відбулося звільнення України; її територія на довгі роки потрапила в «совєтську» (радянську) окупацію.

Підсумовуючи зазначимо: важливо враховувати, що дитячі енциклопедії -- це потужний інформаційний простір для формування світогляду молодого покоління. Цінність дитячої пізнавальної літератури добре розуміли і радянські керманичі, і діячі української діаспори. Зокрема останні опікувалися україноцентричним вихованням молодого покоління. «Хто здобуде душі дітей -- здобуде майбутнє!», починає закликом звернення до українського громадянства ОПДЛ: «В сукупності справ і завдань української еміграції проблема виховання молодого покоління виростає до розмірів першорядної ваги. Від розв'язки цієї проблеми залежить чи наша молодь в еміграційних умовах життя зможе зберегти духовний зв'язок з Україною -- з землею своїх дідів і батьків і бути носієм Української Правди, чи розтопиться в чужинецькому морі» Хто здобуде душі дітей -- здобуде майбутнє! У сучасних умовах проблема виховання україноцентричного світогляду молоді не втрачає актуальності. І яскраві цікаві енциклопедичні видання -- можуть бути одним із дієвих засобів у цьому процесі. Втім, підготовка і друк високоякісної праці складна справа та потребує значного вкладення інтелектуального ресурсу й матеріальних коштів. Сучасний стан видавничої діяльності свідчить, що повноцінна реалізація таких проєктів неможлива без державної підтримки.

Abstract

The aim of the study. The article informs about the types of children's encyclopedias prepared and published in the second half of the 20th century, the target audience of which were children of Soviet citizens and representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora, and also draws attention to the differences in the presentation of the events of the Second World War in the publications of the 1950s and 1960s. The research methodology is based on the principles of historicism, objectivity, scien- tificity and comprehensiveness. General scientific (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction), problem-chronological and structural-functional methods are applied. Research sources. A number of children's encyclopedias published in the USSR and abroad in the second half of the 20th century were used for the analysis. The main attention is actualized on two editions: «Ukraine is the land of my parents. Ukrainian children's encyclopedia» (New York / USA) and «What is it? Who is that? (Сompanion of the inquisitive)» (Moscow / RSFSR). Scientific novelty. Attention is drawn to children's encyclopedias ' approaches and content filling with a narrative about the Second World War. Conclusions. We note the fact that the above encyclopedias were created in different publishing conditions, had an incomparable number of target audiences, and relied on excellent guidelines in the selection of material and the format of its coverage. In the encyclopedia «What is it? Who is that? ...» fragments of plots related to the topic of the Second World War on the territory of Ukraine are present in 0.7% of slogans from the total number. Data concerning Ukraine are represented by the names of the heroes, as well as by the hero cities. However, this information without additional knowledge of the geography and history of Ukraine was meaningless for children. The cognitive content of this book was subordinated to a single ideological discourse -- the unification of the worldview of the Soviet citizen, without a clear actualization of his national origin, and as an unchanging paradigm of the Soviet-Russian canon -- the devaluation of the national interests of the Union republics. Publication of the Ukrainian diaspora «Ukraine is the land of my parents. Ukrainian children's encyclopedia» -- was imbued with a completely different conceptual approach -- Ukrainian-centric. Questions related to the topic of the Second World War on the territory of Ukraine are presented in 15% of slogans. The main focus of all plots: the expulsion of the Nazis did not lead to the liberation of Ukraine; its territory fell under «Soviet» (Soviet) occupation for many years. The Second World War was considered in this encyclopedia as a background against which two totalitarian states (Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union) committed large-scale criminal acts against the residents of Ukraine. The value of children's educational literature was well understood by both the Soviet leaders and the figures of the Ukrainian diaspora. The slogan that sounded in the appeal of the Association of Children's Literature Workers named after L. Hlibov to Ukrainian citizenship in 1960 «WHOEVER GAINS THE SOULS OF CHILDREN WILL GAIN THE FUTURE!» is also relevant for modern times. Bright and interesting encyclopedic publications can be one of the effective tools for educating the younger generation.
