Abstract

This study plans community residence for housing stability and welfare of the economically vulnerable and marginalized elderly. By reflecting the lifestyle of the elderly who want independence, a space plan was proposed so that they can live together and, if necessary, be able to earn income and cultural activities so that they can continue to act as members of society.

В этом исследовании планируется создание места проживания в общине для обеспечения стабильности жилья и благосостояния экономически уязвимых и изолированных пожилых людей. Отражая образ жизни пожилых людей, которые хотят независимости, был предложен план пространства, чтобы они могли жить вместе и, при необходимости, иметь возможность получать доход и заниматься культурной деятельностью, чтобы они могли продолжать действовать как члены общества.

Introduction

It falls under an “aging society,” which refers to cases in which the proportion of the population aged 65 and over exceeds 9% and is less than 7% to 14%. The increase in the number of elderly single-generation families will cause role change and readjustment problems, elderly nursing problems, and economic support problems, which will increase the need for social welfare services. The elderly suffer from diseases and disabilities during these 10 years, and experience difficulties such as conflict with caregivers, regrets, and cost problems. Leisure problems and improvement of quality of life are important needs and problems, and loneliness and old marriage are also important problems for the elderly.

This study investigates the difficulties and needs of the elderly and provides comfortable and creative living spaces to solve social, economic, and health problems for the elderly. Plan a comfortable and creative living space for the elderly where they can interact with their families and other age groups.

Anxiety and life satisfaction of the elderly

The problem of employment was undoubtedly a concern of the elderly, and as the average life expectancy and the time of early retirement approached as economic pressures on old age, the problem of employment had to become the top priority of the elderly. The elderly themselves are increasingly expressing the tendency to become independent in social consideration rather than depend on their children. The elderly themselves were more interested in residential facilities for the elderly, and more family members inquired about welfare facilities for the elderly. Nearly half of the elderly do not want to live with their children. If you think that these figures represent the sentiments of the elderly who want to be free, you are mistaken. The elderly don't think that they want to live alone for themselves, but rather they think that they want to live alone because they want to live together, but their children will be uncomfortable. Poverty, illness, loneliness and loss of role are some of the most common difficulties faced by old age.

Residential Welfare Facility Standards for the Elderly

For senior welfare housing with 30 or more households, sufficient consideration should be given to the health and hygiene of residents, such as sunlight, lighting, and ventilation, as well as disaster prevention. Facilities normally used by residents, such as hallways, toilets, and bedrooms, must have a space that can be moved by wheelchairs, etc. Therefore, it can be opened to the outside and operated to the extent that it does not interfere with the use of the resident in order to enhance the bond with society through the promotion of mutual exchange between the local community and the facility.

Selection of Site

The area is located in Songhwa-ri, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, and Anjeong Park is located next to it. The surrounding educational facilities, medical facilities, and cultural facilities are quiet and peaceful with many other residential facilities. Established for a peaceful life while staying with family, this site is suitable for a suitable elderly facility.

Design Process

Zoning and mass design process

Site Analysis: The concept ofaxis' was introduced as a motif of the village.

Mass Design Process: During the design process, the mass shape was chosen to match the shape of the site. Although the land has irregular and complex shapes, it is an interesting site. Second, it is divided into 3 blocks according to its use as a unit for lonely seniors and seniors in need of “special care”, community spaces and general housing units for seniors and their families. For more accessibility, community blocks are centered. Third, open spaces for sunlight and outdoor activities were introduced, and all blocks were connected with 3 blocks for circulation and comfortable access.

A plan is prepared by applying open space, structure, equipment & evacuation, safety and barrier-free design planning methods for the selected layout plan.

Open space consultation

In the outer space, a water space was planned with the sunken plan to make it a resting space, and the natural mobility was reinforced by arranging the arrangement of the basic landscape in accordance with the movement direction.

Structural consultation

After analyzing various structural systems, ramen structure was adopted, and columns, foundations, and beams of appropriate member size were determined through consulting.

Mech. & Elec. Consultation

A reasonable plan was made by consulting on the size and location of the mechanical & electrical rooms and the duct plan of each floor.

Fire Escape: In case of emergency, a plan was prepared to prevent the spread of fire and to promote safe evacuation according to architectural safety related code.

However, in terms of planning, the level difference was used to facilitate the movement of light and wind to create a pleasant environment. Introduced passive design technique for eco-friendly and energy efficient building design

2) Energy saving design

It actively introduced lighting, regulated sunlight through louvers, produced electricity through solar power generation, and improved the effect of rest and insulation with a rooftop garden space. The active element was a solar panel, a total heat exchanger, and a dimming control system.

Proposal Design

As a result of study on the above, here I propose the low-rise rehabilitation hospital fitting to the situation.

The conclusion

As a result of this study I got the following conclusions:

The aging of the elderly entails not only aging of physical health but also weakening of mental health and economic power, and this decline in economic ability raises problems of housing and residential environment for the elderly. It is thought that it is important to create a residential environment for the elderly to live more satisfactorily for the elderly as well as the minimum housing level for the elderly in the limited financial and environment.

In the future, the location of a residential area for the elderly, which can help create a residential environment for the elderly, should consider the safety, convenience, and comfort of the surrounding environment rather than the case of a general residential complex. In addition, it was analyzed that it was necessary to determine whether the area adjacent to the site was a safe area for the elderly to live in contact with on a daily basis, and to review the conditions in which the neighboring facilities necessary for the daily life of the elderly in the vicinity of the site were located. It is also important to establish a community space that can help the elderly to participate in society and to create various joint programs.
