We should strive to change our uncertain epistemic situation by following the principle that reasons and evidence should determine what we believe. However, we should not restrict the set of possible reasons and evidence to only philosophical or scientific kind. There is a place for personal experience as well as theological knowledge, too. An issue that requires in-depth discussion is the weight that should be attributed to the various types of evidence used to solve this kind of discordI want to thank anonymous reviewer and Nelly Strehlau for taking the time to read and comment on an earlier draft of this article.
