Недостаточно изучены вопросы течения и прогноза ФД, в частности возможной связи этого заболевания (прежде всего синдрома боли в эпигастрии) с развитием язвенной болезни и других заболеваний верхних отделов желудочно-кишечного тракта.
Очевидно, что продолжение интенсивных научных исследований патофизиологических и клинических аспектов проблемы функциональной диспепсии позволит в ближайшем будущем лучше понять причины и механизмы возникновения этого частого заболевания и откроет новые возможности его успешного лечения.
