The representation of the Soviet Union in two Arab novels, "Ice" by Egyptian Sun‘allah Ibrahim and "Time of the Red Reed Pipe" by Kuwaiti Thurayya al-Baqsami. Within the vast expanse of the Arab "emigrant" literature one can find relatively few works.
