Here is the regression equation for “Length of video”:

NumberOfPeopleOnTheCourse = - 2885.964 + 2624.425*LengthOfVideosInHours

We see that according to this equation the absence of video content of the course leads to the absence of people on this course. This can be easily explained - nowadays people are trying hard to save their time and it is easier for them to listen to the video where all the information is already prepared for them and the instructor structures everything in order for students to understand easier than to read the textbooks by themselves.

And here is the regression equation for “Topic IT”:

NumberOfPeople = 8561,179 + 72298, 393*IT.

This equation means that if the variable equals 1 (the course specializes in IT), then the number of people on this course is 8561, 179 + 72298, 393 = 80 859, 572. And if the variable equals 0 (other topics), then the number of people equals b0 (the 1st coefficient) which is 8561, 179.

The recommendations that can be given are these:

a. In order to increase the number of people on the course it is possible to increase the number of hours of video since it is easier for people to understand and perceive the visual information.

b. The most popular in terms of attracting people to the course are the courses specializing in IT. Therefore, to attract more people the platform can concentrate on the courses with this topic - Python, Java, C++ etc.
