The conceptual field of the Commercial Law and the conceptual script of “commerce” are graphically represented. The conceptual script “commerce” is considered as a process of interaction between buyer and seller aimed at goods acquisition and money exchange in a special place. The focal points of frame script “commerce” are the following: process of co-operation, which is represented by the term “trade”; the form of this process can be expressed by the term “negotiate”; the purpose of co-operation is expressed by the terms “buy/sell”; the place of co-operation is expressed by the terms “shop/market etc.”; participant№ and his/her descriptions are expressed by the terms “seller”, “sell”; participantІ and his/her descriptions are expressed by the terms “buyer”, “buy”; the article of co-operation is expressed by the term “goods”; description of the article of co-operation is determined by “price and quality”; the means of co-operation is expressed by the term “money”; the function of money in this co-operation is expressed by the term “payment”; the result of co-operation can be expressed as “contract”.
Chapter III reveals various peculiarities of the Commercial Law terms functioning in fiction and scientific discourses. The Commercial Law discourse is defined as a text stipulated by the situation of legal and commercial intercourse. Basic characteristics of the Commercial Law text typology are provided and Commercial Law texts are classified into prescriptive, descriptive and mixed.
Functioning of the lexeme commerce and its dominants: trade, business, market, export, import, buy, sell, exchange, retail, wholesale in fiction and scientific discourse are explored and a comparative analysis of their functional descriptions is provided. It is proved that Commercial Law terms in both types of discourse preserve their Commercial Law meaning.
