Rebellion of Caius Iulius Vindex against Emperor Nero
The rebellion led by Caius Iulius Vindex against emperor Nero. Vindex, who was disheartened with the policy of the princeps, wanted Nero’s place on the Roman throne to be taken by a person worthy of being a proper successor to Caesar and Augustus.
