Автор раскрывает роль и место информационной борьбы в военных конфликтах второй половины XX века, обобщает и систематизирует научные знания об эволюции взглядов ведущих специалистов мира на возможности и перспективы информационной борьбы и информационно-психологического обеспечения.

В диссертации определены характерные черты и особенности информационной борьбы в мирное и военное время, а также выявлены тенденции усовершенствования аппарата и содержания информационно-психологического обеспечения вооруженных сил в современных военных конфликтах. Установлено, что информационная борьба имеет тесную взаимосвязь с другими видами оперативного (боевого) обеспечения и деятельности войск, поддержка которых составляет ее содержание.

В работе раскрыты методы информационно-психологического воздействия на человека, а также описаны задачи, формы, средства, обобщен практический опыт информационной борьбы.

В диссертации предлагаются возможные направления развития средств информационной борьбы и их боевого применения в современных условиях. Кроме этого, разработаны практические рекомендации по усовершенствованию организации информационно-психологического обеспечения Вооруженных Сил Украины и определены основные направления противодействия негативному информационно-психологическому влиянию на их личный состав.

Andriy Strannikov. Informational and psychological counteraction in the military conflicts of the second half of the XXth century - manuscript.

Thesis looks into the issues of information struggle, information confrontation and information and psychological support in the military conflicts of the second half of the XXth century.

In the process of this paper preparation analyzed were the research studies and scholarly works, examined the methodological foundations and presented was the algorithm to perform the research on the topic. It should be noted, that the topic of information struggle and information wars has been always in the spotlight of research performed by both domestic and foreign scholars. Analysis of the scholars works on the topic in question carries the inference that the issue of information struggle in the military conflicts taking place in the period from 1950 - 2000 has not yet become the object of complex historical research. In most of their studies the authors provided a detailed exposure of the reasons which triggered the local wars, presented their classifications and descriptions of military operations, as well as identified some specifics methods and means of information and physiological support for the militant action. However, as regards to the above mentioned specific time period and the tasks set out in the research conducted for the purposes of this thesis, a complex analysis pooling the experience of information struggle has not been yet performed. It should be underscored, that this experience, presents a significant value, all the more so, under the current situation in Ukraine's Military Armed Forces development. It is for that matter, that the need for the specific and complex research has raised.

The author describes the place and a role that the information struggle has played in the military conflicts of the second half of XX century, generalizes and systematizes the scientific knowledge on evolution in the views of the world's leading scholars with regard to the potentials and prospects of information struggle and information and physiological support.

The thesis reveals the improvement trends for the staff and content of information and physiological support of the armed forces in the military conflicts. The paper expands on the methods of information and psychological pressure on the human being, as well as describes the tasks, forms, means and the pool of practical experience in the information struggle.

The thesis also includes practical recommendations aimed at improving the organization of information and psychological support of Ukraine's Armed Forces and determines the guidelines to counter act the negative information and psychological impact on their contingent.
